Hockey Indigenous (HI) is an indigenous-led and governed organization whose overall goal and mandate is to provide a whole new generational direction toward Indigenous Youth and Community Empowerment. HI wants to use its platform to bring inclusion, motivation, and support to Indigenous Peoples while fostering policy and cultural teachings.

The Goal
Building a player database for Indigenous hockey players on a website is an essential tool to overcome the historical underrepresentation and lack of visibility of Indigenous athletes in the hockey world, and offer a platform for these young talents to share their journeys, experiences, and accomplishments.
The Mission
Allowing Indigenous athletes to build motivation, confidence, and in a positive environment by promoting, and creating a community for Indigenous Youth to provide better opportunities and recognition
